Gropper, William
(1897-1977) Гроппер, Уильям
Живописец, график, карикатурист. Основная тема работ - осуждение социальной несправедливости. С 20-х гг. - активный сотрудник коммунистической прессы. Участвовал в гражданской войне в Испании. В 30-е гг. его экспрессионистские работы завоевали широкую популярность. Создал ряд фресок для зданий государственных учреждений
